What to Wear

Wondering what to wear? Always be sure to wear your best! Remember, you are representing Pure Romance and you should be proud!

To Classes or Trainings

BUSINESS / SMART CASUAL

Translation:Boardroom takeover, Fortune 500 ready, CEO in the making

What to wear: When business attire is suggested, you can count on it being a notable event. We know “business attire” can seem intimidating, but we also know nothing beats the simple sophistication of a well-dressed businesswoman. A business suit will always fit the bill here, but it is not your only option. Try a classic-style dress with a great blazer, cardigan, or even a leather jacket to add some edge. The key is to find what makes you feel confident and powerful. Put a textured or bright-colored blazer to work by pairing it with tailored dress pants or a flattering skirt.

What not to wear:Anything too tight or too short. Cotton capris, leggings, or denim of any kind is a definite no. Avoid showing too much cleavage, overly embellished shirts, and shy away from hairstyles and makeup that outshines your personality. Avoid formal dresses or worn-down sloppy clothing.

To a Pure Romance Party

Translation: Dress for success to look your best at your parties. Have fun with your attire for your parties by giving it a theme like, Little Black Dress, 90’s party or slumber party. If your party has a theme, you can dress accordingly and have fun with it!

What to wear: Dress to the theme party or wear your professional PR Gear with a little extra flair. This could be as simple as adding a blazer, staple necklace, and your favorite perfume – Dirty French or Truly Sexy Flirt – before you walk out the door. Dress your feet up too with cute sandals or shoes.

What not to wear: No ripped jeans, plastic flip flops, baggy shirts or sweatshirts, shirts with holes, and keep the cleavage tamed.

Semi-Formal / Cocktail

Translation: Chic and sophisticated, cocktail classy, best little black dress.

What to wear: Cocktail attire is basically an outfit that is dressier than what you’d wear to classes, but not as dressy as a formal evening gown. Try a dress or dressy suit with heels, strappy sandals, or fancy flats. Sparkling gemstones, pearls, and fashion statement jewelry are all appropriate. However, be careful not to overdo it, or you’ll look more like you’re in costume than semi-formal wear. When in doubt, wear a little black dress and accessorize with fun jewelry—or, if you’d rather wear color, opt for something bright. Although cocktail attire looks should always appear sophisticated, they can also be fun and embrace exciting colors, embellishments, cuts, and unique accessories.

What not to wear: Avoid denim, shorts and more casual pants, formal gowns and dresses that are too tight, and too revealing. No shorts, hats, or athletic wear. Flip flops and sneakers are not permitted.

What men should wear: A dark suit with a dress shirt is best. Wear a vest that matches the suit to spruce it up! A tie is optional, but a belt that matches dress shoes and dark socks is essential. Avoid gym shoes, sandals, and jeans of any sort.

What to wear: When the itinerary calls for formal attire, you can expect to be treated to an exceptional and one-of-a-kind evening event. This is your time to shine and enjoy an elegant evening of distinction and celebration! Ultra-dressy gowns are a go for this evening. Look for styles and colors that make you feel confident, sophisticated, and ready to own the room. Rock a simple, long black dress by adding killer bold jewels and a great shoe.  Have fun with this special occasion to dress your very best with floor length gowns in bold colors and coordinating accessories. Don’t forget to round out your awards night look from head to toe with a polished hairstyle, your favorite lipstick, to treat yourself to a manicure!

Shoes: While dressier shoes are best for this unforgettable evening, DO consider the amount of time you’ll be walking in and wearing your shoes. Choose your footwear accordingly, with comfort AND style in mind! Please honor the formal nature of the evening and always wear shoes when you take the stage.

What not to wear: Business attire, anything too short, too tight, or too revealing, anything casual. Avoid styles that are not age appropriate.

What men should wear: Neutral toned suits with a button up shirt and tie or a tuxedo. Stick with black, navy, and dark grey suiting! Avoid wearing gym shoes, hats, and jeans.
